Four professionals join eclectic JS Design group

Expanding the Jim Sell Design, Inc., team

Fort Collins, Colorado – Jim Sell Design, Inc., has added four employees – James Ashlin, Laurie Garner, Kyle Lambrecht, and Brian Williamson to its multidisciplinary team of landscape architects, civil engineers, planners, and graphic designers:

A California transplant, James Ashlin is Jim Sell Design’s new senior CAD designer. He has 15 years’ experience in myriad positions – from project manager and civil designer to CAD draftsman and system administrator. He also has managed numerous design projects, including custom residential lots and civic infrastructure improvement.

James is an expert in grading plans, road design, gravity-flow sewers and storm drains, as well as topographical surveys using level and as-built surveys. He is highly proficient in AutoCAD Land Desktop, AutoCAD Civil Design, AutoCAD Architectural Desktop, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Laurie Garner recently joined the JS Design team as bookkeeper. With a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication and business management, Laurie has extensive experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting. She also has owned and operated several of her own businesses.

After finishing the Deltek FMS Complete Training program (the project-based software Jim Sell Design uses), Laurie has already begun implementing new processes to streamline company procedures.

New Project Manager Kyle Lambrecht has a BS in civil engineering with a minor in environmental science. He also has done graduate-level work on water- and wastewater-treatment design and facilities and hazardous-waste remediation.

His experience working in municipalities includes project management –from conceptual design through construction: tracking budgets, extensive database management, correspondence and maintaining project logs. Before joining Jim Sell Design, Kyle was responsible for managing capital improvement projects for the City of Fort Collins.

A Colorado State University graduate, Brian Williamson has already put his BS degree in landscape architecture to good use at Jim Sell Design. His experience includes urban design and planning, resort design and planning, landscape design, digital terrain modeling, and park design. He is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects.

Brian currently works with Matt Blakely, senior landscape architect, as well as with civil engineers on the company’s many projects.

“We are delighted to welcome all four employees to our team,” says Jim Sell, president and principal landscape architect for Jim Sell Design. “These talented people are already making great contributions to our diverse projects.”
