To honor the memory of Greeley farmer and water developer George M. Houston, Jim Sell Design created four plant zones – prairie, foothills, mountain, and sub-alpine – in the garden of this 7.5-acre park – earning it a National Bicentennial Award in 1976. Today, this well-established park serves as a botanical learning laboratory and an example of community involvement.
