Trails

Jim Sell Design has extensive trail-design experience, beginning with the nature-trail layout for the Reston, Virginia, Home Owners’ Association. It was 1971, and Jim Sell was spending his summer as a student intern. He had never been on a horse before – a lesson learned. Horses think spray paint sounds just like snakes. Since then JSD has designed numerous trails, including urban neighborhood trails for communities and campuses, as well as nature and mountain trails. We are still applying our past experiences and lessons learned to each new project we design.
