Gunnison River Banks Ranch – Gunnison County, Colorado
North of Gunnison, Colorado, Gunnison River Banks Ranch is a 450-acre conservation development. The Jim Sell Design site design incorporates existing ranch buildings and an historic railroad bridge, and new roads and driveways use the alignment of existing ranch service roads to minimize the development impact for 21 2-acre home sites along the Gunnison River. We clustered the home sites to limit their impact to less than 15 percent of the 450-acre site. Gunnison County and local environmental groups have recognized the project as an outstanding example of an environmentally sensitive development.
