McCowen Hall, University of Northern Colorado –

This 1960s-vintage residence hall is on the UNC’s west side. The existing exterior spaces did not address current circulation patterns, bicycle parking, gathering spaces, or vehicular traffic. Jim Sell Design completely updated these spaces using designs consistent with the Harrison-Hall renovation. We logically separated bicycle parking from pedestrian movement and created gathering spaces, including a large plaza that students enjoy as well as the Denver Bronco football team during training camp.
